Hi everyone,
My sister and her husband used to live in Lewes, and I always thought it was a lovely place, but now my girlfriend has been offered a job in Lewes, and we are looking at a flat in Southover High Street... anything we should know? Please help...
Also, does Lewes have a rowing club?
Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Lewes does have a rowing club (Lewes 'Rowing' Club) but you try joining it with a rowing boat. Its just an old duffers club run by a bunch of the rudest most unwelcoming Captain Pugwash's I've come across.
You might get in if you get an old leaky cabin cruiser tho' but I wouldn't bet on it.
They're down in South Street, go and have a chat and let us know how you get on.

If you do join the rowing club, at least you'll have somewhere to park.

SHS is ok but currently a lot of traffic - partly due to weight restriction on the railway bridge. Some noise from the A27 too. Tennis club. Museum. No shops. No mink (saw one in the river Xmas eve.....-).
