He was my (and probably several other regular posters) geography teacher at Priory in the early 70's and was my sons Geology teacher at Sussex Downs College more recently.

I remember Mr McGovern....my history teacher....he was great, a proper old fashioned type of teacher. I loved history. I think he is Head of some posh boys school in London.. Saw him on TV talking about the tragic death of one of his daughters at Birling Gap (a very sad story).
