Snowdrop price rise!

The Snowdrop has just increased its prices in spite of it already being the most expensive pub in town! I think it's an excellent pub but £4.25 for Harvey's is bonkers! Other beers are significantly more (Budvar's £5.10 a pint and another brew's £7 per pint)!! I don't mind paying a little more for a nice environment but this is greedy. The owners need to bear in mind that people are short of cash these days and this price-hike could backfire.

I’m afraid that the Snowdrop seems to have turned into a cash cow. The food has gone down hill and the prices are extortionate. The owners attention seems to be on their other pub and the Snowdrop is on the way down.

I disagree I think the Snowdrop is a great pub. The beer prices do seem to be above averages but choice is better than in most pubs and the foods always been good.

Popeye - the Gardeners does a vast range of better-kept beers at a fraction of the cost.

No wonder people need food banks. A couple of pints a night is as much as my weekly shop!

£3.90 in my local now.. blame rising business rates. Another death knell into British culture instituted by the Tories.

We went to the Snowdrop 2 weekends ago for some food and found that the service there was really lacking. Despite it being mid-afternoon we were told 'the kitchen's not taking orders, come back in 30 mins' this happened three times with us buying more drinks getting hungrier and hungrier. Hangrier and hangrier should I say! The staff in there are a bit too cool for school I think.

Really? Is The Roebuck up for sale? Can anyone confirm? Seems unlikely.
