The snowdrop is a joke now. Worst bar service ever experienced. 30 mins to get served in a pretty empty bar. Won't be back.

This is sad, isn't it? For a long time I thought it was the best pub in Lewes.

I heard they were selling as they are sick of listening to pillocks like you all day and night. I know I've had enough of you, and I dint even have to look at you.

It says a lot about the quality of the Snowdrop clientele when the owner would rather spend his time in Laughton.

It's bad enough standing behind a shop counter all day in Lewes, let alone a bar in the evenings and all weekends ! Some of you should listen to yourselves !

I wish Tony and Dom well for their future but think they need to have a think about whether they really valued the stream of competent, friendly bar staff they've got through.

The business is advertised on Fleuretes website. it states a turnover of 700k, and they are asking 800k for the freehold. Something does'nt add up. Why would they surrender a business that is nearly 100% of the freehold value?. Even after costs, there must be a huge profit in there, unless of course they were mortgaged up to their eyeballs?. I don't know if the Roebuck is freehold or not, but it must be on a similar value level as the Snowdrop. Like I said, it must be Lewes and the clientele thats the reason for them leaving, and frankly, I cant blame them.

£800k does seem a bit low for the whole thing. Could fit a fair few houses on that land

From today the pub is closed all day, opening at 5.00 p.m. until 11.00. Open all day weekends. Going down the tubes fast? I hear the Lamb is shut again?

It was the increasing monopolisation of screaming/misbehaving kids and their parents’ massive sense of entitlement, that put me off going ages ago
