You don't need to come to Lewes you can buy loads of Lewes things right here.

Or you could plan ahead and get some Lewes related books to read to make your visit more fulfilling.

Head over the hump-back Cliffe Bridge and you'll find nothing but vintagey shops

Vintage Shirt Co. Castle Ditch Lane. But apart from that one,I think there is another one in the same lane. Otherwise try the Needlemakers - dress agency on ground floor, and also another shop down the stairs. And of course Cliffe High Street - Mays, and the various Antiques galleries. Get a map from the Tourist Office.

Start at the bottleneck by Baltica and walk down the High St , you'll pass two second handbookshops, plus numerous charity shops. Turn left downMarket street, you'll find the flea market and needlemakers. Turn right down station st you'll find the ohter big antiques place in a church. Keep going down school hill to cliffe and you'll find lots of antiques emporiums and numerous more charity shops. You could quite happily spend a couple of days mooching them all. And that's without going to any of the cafe/coffee shops or clothes boutiques or pubs.
