School has nearly finished for my lot and I feel like we've just scraped through with the last of the free education for all. If you've not got all your children through school be afraid, as they are all going to be stretched beyond belief if these Tory cuts continue. Priory School have been asking parents for voluntary contributions for the past 3 years due to funding cuts. It's only going to get worse if we blindly let the Tories in for another 4 years. Will all schools become 'private' soon?

Ringmer school is on it's last legs too with another 30 staff leaving by the end of the year and those who are left stretched to breaking point. Still, the Tories plan to open more Grammar and Free schools will fix everything and there's absolutely nothing to worry about, honest.

And what an education the kids are getting! To pass SATS, it seems kids not only have to know what a Fronted Adverbial is, but also what 'M' means in Roman numerals. SO important in the 21st Century, don't you think? This is of course the legacy of that idiot arch-Brexiteer Gove, whose attitude to kids is that they should be made to suffer the same way he did.

Maybe they should axe Child Benefit and put the money into schools instead.
I've always though that Child Benefits were a waste, people should only have kids if they can afford them.

Priory School has been asking money for at least 10 years, nothing new there.

So the Tories have been cutting back on education spending for far longer than 3 years then if Lewes Resident is correct. We've only had letters for the past 3 years, but how long can anyone survive with cutbacks year on year. Priory is a good school and I'm sure every parent in Lewes and the surrounding areas want their child to go to a good school, not one that is lacking in basic items, and can only afford student teachers. Think about your child's future education before you put a cross next to Maria Caulfield's name.

Labour were in power when my child went to Priory nothing to do with the Tories. There are plenty of rich middle class parents in Lewes who I'm sure would give willingly to Priory , that is if they have enough money left over from the money they spend on hiring private tutors.

A lot of talk about the rich. It seems some think it a crime to be well off. By the way rich people do pay taxes.
