Selling at the Car Boot on Sundays

Hello
We operate Brightons largest lighting specialist store. We've got some high quality 'mother & child' halogen floorlamps at £34.75 each.
I'm considering having a stall at the car boot sale which occurs every Sunday at the back of Waitrose, but wondered what the opinions were of Lewes locals. Is it only locals who visit the car boot? Would you buy one?
They would all be sold with a pledge of quality guaranteed by our store in Brighton with our contact details shown, so should any problems happen to arise with the items, you know you've got a store to contact.
Any opinions would be warmly appreciated.
Kind regards

Hi Don,
Personally I don't often go to the boot sale as the quality of stall/produce seems pretty low and I have never found anything there worth buying. This in mind I wouldn't buy one as I would not be sure of the quality (no offence intended!). You would probably be better off at Brighton market or Ford market.

Thanks for your imput. I would have display models of the floorstands for people to play with, but I respect that potentially being the issue with people not appreciating the quality. We would have our full store details listed with the site for any problems that may occur after purchase, but that's not any proof to the products' quality.
Thank you.

It's a car boot sale - you have to get there early to get the bargains. Some dross, some 'finds'. It only costs 6 quid a pitch i'm told so not much to lose if it doesn't turn out well.

Does anyone have a phone number to contact to book/ask info about the car boot sales? It says 'no vans', but I would need to use a small van and I saw many vans there and a large butchers catering vehicle there too.
Thanks

At what time is the boot sale open to the public ?

I think you just turn up on the day at about 6am. There are small vans there, but they have their tables out front, I don;t think you can sell from the van, just use it for your stock. The butchers van is different cos its refrigerated.

Tried to get a contact number for you today but none forthcoming. You can take a van but need to unload your stock and then park next door at the old wood yard. You do need to be there at 6am.The traders thought your stock,as suggested earier, would be more suitable for Ford or Brighton.
