I saw a beige coloured seal sitting on wooden "decking" or jetty almost opposite the Cliffe Ind.Estate yesterday at 09.25 yesterday. I was so surprised but the guys at work weren't as apparantly " they live there".
Any comments?

Seals come up the Ouse almost every year, usually singly and occasionally as far as the Barcombe tidal stretch.
The seal you are taking about is unusual as it's been hanging around below the Culfail tunnel for well over a month now (in fact six weeks I think).
It's a good sign. Seals eat a heck of a lot of fish so as it's staying around the river must be fairly healthy.

I must sniff around the river and see if I can spot my distant cousin
