Seagulls

Not a football related question I am afraid. But can anyone tell me how seagulls can digest bones and carcasses that appear bigger than their own frames. They stuff whole bread rolls down and other huge items and I just have to know what happens! Do they have super-strength bile to melt bones or do they regurgitate stored food for later?
Promise I am not a bird bore, just astounds me what they put away!

Gulls have no teeth and swallow their food whole or hold it in their crop to regurgitate. They're also adapted to drink salt water... which if the water authorities don't get their finger out we all will be.

Mymate is good. Don't think he's ever been on the sea (or knows what it is) but in the present heatwave spends much time lounging around the pond.
Not a bad life I guess!
