Uckfield Bell Lane (industrial estate) diesel is £1.35, Esso Lewes ¬£1.39 and Tesco Lewes ¬£1.41 per litre. So if you're heading in the Uckfield direction save some money and even in Lewes you can save over a quid on a tank for no effort.

Thanks for this SHS. Very useful. I wonder how Mo's garage in Offham fares price-wise?

Tesco would certainly seem to be the most expensive place to buy fuel in the area, all the BP garages, for example, are much cheaper.

Rubbish Streeter. The Texaco opposite the Newmarket is always more expensive.

Texaco by the Newmarket was £1.33.9 for unleaded when I drove past it yesterday, same as the Esso in Malling.

The garage at the A27/A23 roundabout was 129.9 for unleaded last week - 4p cheaper than ESSO or Tesco in Lewes. Everyone in Eastbourne (including Tesco Eastbourne) is way cheaper than Lewes. The Lewes duopoly is ripping us off again, as it has for years.

$1.539 at Z Energy in Nelson, New Zealand this morning. Less than a pound. Come and get it!

If you're thinking of driving to Uckfield *only* to buy cheap petrol, remember that it's a 16 mile round trip. at 30mpg, that's about four litres of petrol or about a fiver's worth. So, you'd need to buy more than 90 litres to save anything at all. At 60mpg, you'd need to buy 45 litres.
A Ford Focus will have a 55-60 litre tank, for example. So, if it does to 60mpg, then you'll save a quid or two.
If you're going to Uckfield anyway, of course it's worth filling up while you're there.
