Yes he's over here dealing with some (potentially very exciting) business and catching up with friends. The Brewers is probably the best place to catch him.

He was involved in the early days of Rocket Radio, but went to live in Canada some years ago.
Nice guy, too.

You can't miss him- he is around town dressed in an open red coat with a bright yellow T-shirt under! A very interesting man to talk to.

Just for info, after speaking to him today I can confirm that Rocket Radio will be rising from the ashes this coming Bonfire season. He's also managed to revive the old Firle Hillclimb. There will be an inaugaral event on the weekend of the 20th September with a view to making it an annual event should it be a success.

Thanks to all for updates, now I know I was not mistaken. And Rocket FM will feature RLT again. Great news.

A hillclimb would be a good attraction - motorsport at a affordable level

I remember the Firle hillclimbs, up to Bopeep, from when it was a family day out back in the sixties. My father would park the car on the side of the approach road; and we would generally walk up the downs by the side of the road to reach the top. We did this on many occasions, and I think we took a picnic tea.
My most memorable occasion was watching a car come around the final bend in the shallow cutting at the top- the car began to roll over, but the driver jumped into the passenger seat and his weight prevented this.
I look forward to visiting a similar event if it comes off. Good old Rupert!

What, reviving a long dead motor sport event near Lewes...?
Encouraging the pointless consumption of fossil fuels, and making lots of loud noise, simply for the enjoyment of driving fast cars up a steep hill, simply to prove that A is faster than B rather than for the useful purpose of transporting things from A to B?
What a nonsensical waste of the planet's resources... that'll upset the Guardian-reading tree-huggers in town!
Bring it On!
Maybe we can even get Quadrilla to sponsor the event ;-)
