Just went up to the war memorial in Lewes for the first time ever on the 11th.
Without ever wanting to turn the day into some sort of carnival and with total respect to those who lost loved ones and those who lost their lives for us, i thought the last post was played after prayers and there is usually a marching band. Everything just seemed over and done with in 5 minutes.
Also thought that the fire brigade should've been allowed to lay their wreaths with everyone paying their respect to those who have lost their lives saving others. But traffic was starting to filter through and the crowds dispersing when the firefighter went up to the memorial.

Thanks to Sussex Express mis-information I almost missed the 2:30 ceremony for the first time in years! It only mentioned the 11am ceremony so therefore I assumed that it had been changed for this year as sunday was 11/11. tut tut.
And Lopster, not everyone who wishes to remember comes out on bonfire night.

I attended the service and thought it rather disorganised this year.
Most people attending were very respectful but I did notice a couple of greasey haired trolls (in their Sunday-best trackpants) who stumbled across the service, decided to talk throughout and jossle for the best oggling point.

FA because 11th fell on Sunday this year, the 11am event is smaller key than when it is on a weekday / Saturday.
