I was at the war memorial at 11am with a small group of people to pay my respects to the fallen. There was no ceremony. Nothing. Those that had turned up just shuffled off quietly about 11.05.
I went to Aldi immediately afterwards and it was heaving with people. Speaks volumes about today's society.

That'll be because the war memorial ceremony is at 2.30 (I think) this afternoon.

And at 11am on Remembrance Day 11/11 (Tuesday). Assuming that all six Bonfire societies did their bit on the Fifth, that's eight different Remembrance ceremonies - nine including The Twister's noteworthy attendance. Keep it up Lewes!

I will be working on a constructional project in the far north (beyond Uckfield) at 11.00 on the 11th.
I will observe the two-minute silence.
So will everyone else; as I will operate the main switch...
