How big a room do you need? How many people are you accommodating? Are you just rehearsing the music or do you want to block out staging as well? And do you need a decent piano? I have a few suggestions but it would help to know what you're trying to do!

Ah right!
St Pancras Church in Irelands Lane, at the top of St Anne's Hill, has a really nice rehearsal room in the new extension. Our choir sometimes uses it for rehearsals but it's a bit small for us, but it would be fine for you. Dunno how much it costs mind!

Scout Hut in Ham Lane is your best bet. It's basic but cheap and you can make as much noise as you can.

King's Church building, behind Carpetright, opposite Homebase.
Big space, nice, not expensive.
You will have to be very loud to annoy any neighbours.
Been used by music (operatic) groups for this purpose.

We've got a rather nice function room up at the Elephant and Castle that apparently has wonderful accoustics. You're welcome to pop in and see the room if you wanted

Love the open invitation! It's great to see a space where people can freely share their thoughts. Looking forward to hearing... more

If you lend someone £20 and don't see them again it was probably worth it.
