Has anyone used the rail replacement service to London? How long did it take? And how much of a pain was it? Cheers

If I had to go to London this week I'd either take a coach or drive to Three Bridges and get a train from there.

It’s pretty well organised. Rail bus to 3 B then train. Been doing it over many weekends over past year. Adds about 20 mins to journey and circa 40 mins in the week.

I took it on Sunday. It had to go three bridges via plumpton and Haywards heath so took a long time. Noone got on or off at either stop. It could be organised so that passengers going between Lewes and three bridges can take a direct bus using the main road but it wasn't. I left Lewes at 10.40 and caught a train at 12.15 from three bridges to London bridge.

The rail replacement bus to East Grinstead is another option. It stops only at Cooksbridge, and the onward train from East Grinstead starts there, so will be empty. I did it on Monday morning, and it worked as advertised.
