Hi. Has anyone taken readings for Radon in their Lewes property? I am buying a home here and have been advised this is an area where there could be problems with Radon, and that readings should always be taken over a period of months to establish level of risk. The estate agent is saying it isn't a problem (because they want a quick sale?), but also admit they don't know of anyone who has taken the readings so wouldn't know if they are high. Thanks

You can get a rough idea from the data and maps provided by the ukradon.org website, produced by Public Health England. Lewes radon levels seem to be very low generally. For once, your estate agent isn't trying to pull the wool over your eyes.
