I’m near the needlemakers and can hear all sorts of zooming cars (or bikes) around the main streets (presumably). Is this a thing? Dow the yogi of today like to whiz around he olde world country streets?
Can anyone else hear it?

There was a huge procession of motorbikes which came down St Pancras Rd, all queuing to exit onto Southover High St yesterday morning, probably about 1030. When I say huge, it must have taken 15 minutes for them all to pass, so there would have been dozens if not hundreds. They were mostly Harley Davidsons and big old Triumphs and they were large bore cylinder bikes. The noise was amazing!
I have no idea what they were all doing down here but they were quite a sight. I wonder if that was what you heard?

Ho ho ho. 250 bikes, which is also quite a lot.
I've done some research and I'm pretty sure that this was The Ride of the Ruperts on their charity ride around the beauty spots of Lewes. They were quite a sight, although i'm still puzzled how they ended up cruising along St Pancras Road!

Wow, wish I’d hopped out in my PJs to see it now. Oh well, the yoof are off the hook. For now....
