I bought a 2nd hand small lamp table. I think it's pine but has been stained a dark oak shade. Is there anyway of restoring it to pine?
Thanks!

Hmm... That's a real head-scratcher. The thing is that woodstain is normally applied to bare wood and the very thin stain sinks into the naked pine to quite a depth. You might need to sand about 3mm off the entire lamp.

Try sanding a small area first - you have nothing to lose. Some stains don't penetrate as far you might think. If sanding doesn't work, you could paint it with Chalk Paint, Eggshell etc
