I want to take my young son to the Pells to have a swim, but I don't want to go swimming myself. Do adults who are there just to keep an eye on their kids, but not actually swim, have to pay???
Thanks

My understanding is that under 8's need an adult with them, and those who are weaker swimmers must have an adult in the pool with them. Why don't you ring them and ask ? Over 8's can go on their own, but obviously must be able to swim !

I think you'll find you have to pay whether you swim or not.

Everyone that comes in to the Pells has to pay. We used to have a half-price spectator rate, but sadly this got abused by some people - paying half and then swimming anyway. Especially difficult to manage on hot days when the Pells is busy. So we had to stop operating this, since it was reducing the income we need to keep operating and was unfair to people who paid properly.
