The best quizzes in Lewes are definitely at the Royal Oak at the top of Station Street.
These are Quizzes that really make you think rather than just rely on knowing facts other people don't know. Unlike the quizzes at the Con Club and the Black Horse which are pretty boring.
The Royal Oak's quizzes actually get people talking. Lots of laughs - lots of friendly heckling and joshing - in a decent pub where the drinks aren't over-priced unlike the Black Horse -the Wednesday evenings are well attended - and there are cash prizes, raffles etc - and half the proceeds go to charity.
What more could you ask?
Quizzes start at 8 o'clock. Next one is Wednesday Feb 3rd - and at two weekly intervals. See you there?

The Volunteer does a quiz on Mondays at 8pm, which are good fun. I'm not sure if they still do them but they started just before Christmas.
