I started going to the Premier shop when they started selling discounted newspapers. Great shop, tasty Indian foods as well, I'd detour to it on my way to Plumpton.
Not any more, no more discounted papers, no more Indian titbits so I won't be giving my money to the new owners.
Hopefully someone will let them know...

I never supported them as I thought is was not ethical to sell discounted newspapers next door to an established newsagent.

Discounting discounting papers, new owners are none too friendly on my first purchase. I'm sad the previous owners have gone for lack of a friendly local service..

This sounds like the same trick as Domino's pizza. Start off with bargain prices to attract regular customers; and then remove the offer- hopefully when you have put your competitors out of business, so you can keep your prices permanently high.

It's nothing like that Sussex Jim. The very nice Indian family that used to run the shop and cook all of the Indian food have unfortunately retired. The shop has now been taken over by two men, one of which really ought to learn that smelling as if you sleep in an ashtray is not great idea for a shopkeeper!

The loss of the Indian food is nothing short of tragic. They made the nicest samosas and bhajis I've ever had.

I am assuming you mean the shop on the Nevill? Such a shame, the vegetable bhajis were delicious and yes, I used to buy them often..

It's not really a newsagents though Old Fag Butt, it is predominantly a grocer.....

The new owners are so rude and most items are now out of stock. Will no longer be going here despite being local. New owners need to learn some customer service skills, I miss des!
