We have also used the wrong type of grey brick because it was cheaper therefore we get to piggy back off the tourism trade in part due to the asthetic quality of Lewes to which we were to stingy to even bother matching.

Even though I advertise this chain and get paid more than I could fit in the gunge bucket from Tiswas, you would be better off camping on the Downs, its cheaper and more comfortable.

Jolly pleased that you were able to book for bonfire weekend - I heard that availability of rooms was somewhat restricted to the good old Lewes cognoscenti. Btw don't bank on getting here by train.....

The building is shoddy, a fake copy by outsiders and just a load of front and everyone I know hates it and all it stands for. When the magistrates Court closed justice for ordinary people left our town. I liked seeing bad people punished here.

Errr ... have you tried the Crown Court, LV3? It's just up the road. That should satisfy your justice-related cravings.

Lewes voter 3: a fake copy of what? What are you on about? Fully booked every weekend so far. It's a Premier Inn. They are of a standard quality down to the light fittings. For a decent, en suite hotel room, it's hard to beat. Architecturally it doesn't frighten the terribly conservative Lewes horses but could have been a much more exciting building. Lewes is terribly short of bedrooms, all year round. If you don't believe me, ask any Airbnb, b & b owner and even our mediocre hotels.
The Tories in their wisdoms, closed lots of Magistrates' Courts when they came to power. This one was on the market for two years and finally flogged off for a million quid. Pretty poor return for us taxpayers - 10% of Lewes houses are worth a million.
