Planned increase in parking meter tarrifs

I have heard from a very reliable source that the council is planning to increase the tariffs on the town's parking meters, "due to the high level of demand for parking an increased tariff is required to maintain the balance between accesibility to services and the need to kerb congestion". I no longer reside in Lewes so this won't affect me, but I find it a little bizzare!

its the old classic, lets price people out of parking. Heres the problem . Raising prices never stopped smokers or drinkers it just providied more funds for the black hole called public spending. Can't beleive that anybody out there does not realise this is simply another tax as opposed to traffic management. Sometimes i wan't to grab the greenies by the throat and throw them on the plane to somewhere where there are no pollutants to society, hhmmm like death valley california.

My team and I, have done wonders for the parking in Lewes and will be handsomely rewarded, if not in this world then in the next.
I have read this forum very carefully and have noted certain peoples attitude to us wardens.
I can only say to those people " Keep them wheels a movin'"
That is not a request.
Cos, Ain't no mountain high enough, Ain't no valley low enough to keep me from nicking you.
