Hello you two.
I saw another auction report and yet another Sir William Russel Flint water colour of PFH..., keep this up and Pete will be buying a vintage Bentley :-)
I am really looking forward to coming home for the holiday as too much time away from the youngsters growing up.
Jeff who works here with me is from Firle area, interestingly he talked of Lord Gage and the vast area of the South Downs being part of his estate and also locals referring to the FIRLE HILL CLIMB but just for a laugh told it in Zuzzex dialect.
By the way was the brother a member of the Raff?, must have been in the 80's.
keep the home fires burning but a bucket of water handy, I remember your house fire was this time last year.
Dave.

A Happy Christmas to all., including poor old grumpy 'shopkeeper' who cannot spell LOL!
I see nothing wrong with two Lewes expatriates ten thousand miles apart voicing a few niceties., a nice informal way to keep in touch.
In the past many dear old friends have chipped-in a word or two.
I recall the first Post War Bonfire night parade going past the 'Volly' I had wangled a 24 hour pass.
'Banana Bill Penfold' with his guy of the Pope on a stick and 'Bowser Mepham' with a 45 gallon drum containing a mixture of Moth Balls and Nitrate in a wheel barrow headed the throng of about 50 people, it was 1945 and Wars Over and a grand sight!
Cheers,
Peter Mason.
No need to hide behind a pseudonym eh!.
