My name is Jason Reeve, I am 22 and I live in Ringmer.
I have lived in the Lewes area for about 16 years now and I have always been interested in its local history,
Currently I am working on a Historic Lewes Website which will allow people to go back through the different stages of History in the town.
From 50s Lewes to Bronze Age Lewes the site will cover everything. I have been researching for 3 months now and the site will be ready in mid summer.
One thing I would really like to do, is to set up a Memories of Lewes Page.
This will allow people to post stories they can remember of the town when they where little.
I am currently focusing on the 30s, 40s and the 50s. ( wartime Britain )
I was wondering if there is any way of posting an advert in your paper for people to come forward with stories of their own.
Any help you could all offer me would be a great advantage to the site, and maintaining history in personal accounts.

Jason - I like the idea and look forward to seeing the website in action. But just out of politeness you might have changed the wording of your post to reflect that this isn't the Sussex Express. A few seconds work would have made a better impression - something to remember for your website.

Chav.....when you say "they're all history now", does that mean most of them topped themselves after meeting you

I'd like to apologise for Jason's spelling and general confusion. I'm sure his website will be good though.
