Parking spots near the castle

Are the below proper parking places near the castle (see picture)? Two cars (often different ones) are always parked there leaving no room on either side or inbetween for anyone with mobility issues, wheelchairs or prams to get by. They either have go up the pavement and grassy bank under the trees or over the lumpy cobbles. There is also a red sign saying keep clear and that emergency vehicles need access. Annoying.

That would be the only access for fire engines to gain access to most of the castle precinct buildings - those bollards would drop into the ground. So no, not proper parking places.

Most people could see that the cars are parked to the south of the vehicular access route. Indeed the padlock used to remove one of the relevant bollard can be seen below the red sign.

The posts in front of the vehicles are fixed. The “emergency “ posts are just in (and out) of the picture. These and other vehicles have parked here without issue for many years and I hope will continue to do so. Free parking in Lewes, bring it on!!

@sunnydaysarehereagain.
Is it really that annoying?
Really?
I lived by there for a while and have a mother in a wheelchair and a child in a buggy and never really had a problem.
Life is short my friend. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
