Let's get rid of all town centre cars apart from those with disabilities and build a park and ride - but where should it go? I'm voting for Southeram...

It's a good idea, Ringmer would be a good place. They could then have car cleaners on site and give business to the garage etc. Or one of the many fields north lewes on U.K. field road. Use police headquarters car parks at weekends. South Downs college car parks at week ends. Access may be an issue but overall benefits would be worth it.

Yes, 'Innovative', , been crying out for this for years. At least 10 years ago I discussed it with Norman Baker who agreed that Southerham Grey Pot was the perfect location. But, Lewes not quite big enough to attract the funding. Same applies to bigger car clubs.
There have been several ideas from town council etc. regarding a fleet of electric buses, circulating around the town and taking people up the hills etc. Again. Terrific, but no funding.

Another vote for Southerham - close to town and on A27. A circular bus route into town, out by the prison and back along the A27 would cut down traffic in the town centre and might also take some pressure off near police HQ (if they're willing to walk) and county hall. A good way to spend the money raised through the parking charges. Where did that money go?

Concrete and tarmac over the Convent Field. Easy access straight off the bypass. Sorted.
A lot will squeal about it, but nobody really uses the place do they?

It'll take a few million pounds to set the scheme up. Who is going to pay?

The Unholy Trinity of 3 councils could pay.

Really amazing idea, but I am truly concerned about the funding. It sounds like quite a pricey project and will require quite of investment to make it work.
