I had an eventful stroll in Lewes today.
Saw that beggar banned from Brighton with a scrumpy jack can and a new pair of trainers in a footlocker bag screaming and shouting at nothing or anyone.
Seen a girl outside charcoal grill with a suitcase begging.
A man walking down the high street with no shoes or socks on.
Then to top it all off I've seen a man who had a portable radio blaring out stood with his arms on the air like he's directing traffic. Is there something in the air or has Lewes turned in to a place where people with mental health issues aren't getting the help they need?

Sounds about right for a town suffering with small town syndrome!

Dixie may have been kidding, but Mental Health budgets have been slashed leaving people waiting years to get treatment.
The rich go private and the poor get so fed up they leave the system. The mental health teams claim success, as those that get into trouble or attempt suicide, "were not on their books." This is true with the children's team, too. Its' pretty sad state when we cut funding to the vulnerable and give tax breaks to the wealthy.
I know a lot of wealthy people, and I don't think ANY one of them would support cuts to the mental health support teams, but they vote Tory because they are afraid of Corbyn's economics. But they work hard and swallow their happy pills with a dash of fine brandy.

As worried said, let's move creepy man to somewhere else, rather than try to tackle his health problems.
Take him away from our fairly wealthy community. I bet "worried" isn't rich, just short sighted. Can we really just keep pushing problems away?

At least the conservatives were made to pick-up the £20,000 bill for flying Arlene home (we should be grateful for small mercies).
