Seems like there are loads of things going on up there. Holiday lets, camping, festival, bars, electric motorbikes. What next? Fracking? Feels a contrast to the stories about Knepp, rewilding and charity events being broadcast all over the place. They are property developers (called find and build) so I guess they know the system. Bars, DJ for the event on 26th.
All this development for the community and wildlife. We must have all forgotten to ask them for it. No doubt the festival will be to sell the idea of transforming the downs.
The proliferation of planning applications seem to be coming thick and fast. No doubt they will find a way round it and force LDC to change the use up there.

Hospitality doesn't look like a good business bet these days of perpetual pandemic. On the rewilding subject, have you heard of the inclosure acts and the Highland clearances, by any chance?

I just looked up Knepp. I expect the Squire of the estate went to Eton with old de Piffle. Loose some damn fine game in the ancestral domain, kick out the verminous peasants and bang away at the pheasants. Good sport eh country guy, though the country part might be a bit doubtful if you live near East Chiltington, old bean.
