Well, if you count Shelleys you would have to include Pelham House as well. IMO neither are pubs really. However, the Con Club is in the Good Beer Guide, so maybe that is a pub too? Oh, and you missed of the JHT, which is definitely a pub. On that basis, I think there are 20, and of those, 7 are in the Good Beer Guide. I wonder if that is a record?

I would have thought that if you include the Chalk Pit then you should also include the Blacksmiths Arms as both have 'Lewes' in their postal address.
Likewise if you are going to include the Con Club (a members club) then you should also include the Working Mens Club and St Mary's Supporters Club.
And after that there's the bar at Lewes FC, the Golf Club, Southdown Sports Club, the British Legion and the Masonic Lodge (if you're that way inclined!)

I guess those are the ones with websites and Webbo's changed them to links to their websites? Oh no they link to the Events section of this site, still probably a Webbo thing.
I did my GCSE Art final project on Lewes pub signs, there were many more back then

Did a pub crawl around Lewes once - didn't count the Chalkpit but did include Shelleys (no different to the White Hart or Crown - public bar). Didn't include any clubs that need membership. It was a long time ago and several of the pubs have gone now (Windmill, Pewter Pot, Fruiterers)

Might do somewhere, not sure. They were analogue style so probably quite faded by now but will have a look and see if I can dig them out...

You might have something to contribute, Cliffite?
