It does not seem to have been very widely publicised that there are "consultation events" relating to proposals for the Pells Recreation Gound (ie, park) and Malling Fields. These will be from 10:00 amd to 6:30pm on Friday 25 November at St Johns Sub Castro, and from 10:00 am to 2pm on Saturday 26th Nov at Malling Community Centre.
They (Santon & LDC) are keen to get as wide a cross-section of feedback as possible, including from children and young people who actually use these facilitiies.
Let's try to get as many local people as possible to put their views over.

As usual the public consultation events are at times when working people are at work and cannot attend. Why not have another session on a Saturday?

I think the session at Malling Community Centre (10am-2pm) is on Saturday 26th Nov.

@Meic You DID put it in your original post, it's just Sussex Jim with the usual chip on his shoulder who can't be bothered to read the post properly.

Sussex Jim is a very hard-working bloke who, from time to time, sort of misses the point.

Good on you, Sussex Jim, for coming back and apologising for a mistake. How many of us do that? I know I don't.

Sussex Jim: no need to apologise, though it's big of you to do so.

Do we know what they are planning?
Why would they touch Pells park?

Dunk, as part of flood defence improvements, there will be work to the Pells park area. Also, the developers will be paying for improvements to the area and to Malling Rec. They're putting forward several alternative suggestions. The consultation's being held to invite comments and preferences. Go along.

PS should have said that they're proposals for improving the recreational facilities in both places.
