I'm in Lewes temporarily, and can't seem to find a laundrette, or an internet cafe anywhere. Is this true, or do I need to get myself to Specsavers to buy a pair, because I can't find either anywhere in Lewes.
Thank you.

Nearest laundrette is at the University of Sussex at Falmer. You don't need a keycard or anything to access the laundrette used by the students. Nearest internet access is Lewes Library.

There's a laundrette in Ringmer too. Lewes library has 16 computers which are free to use, though you have to pay for printing.

TOM and SB - when someone is clearly asking for advice, why can't you either keep quiet or provide a helpful answer? Welcome Jonathon.

This is because, by DFL law, every resident has to own a washing machine and computer (and an Audi)

If you go to the library you can even get a powdery coffee in a plastic cup for 50p from the machine on the first floor. Voila - internet cafe you lucky person

Most of the pubs and cafes in town have free wireless internet too these days although you'd have to take along your own laptop/phone/PSP etc to get any benefit of that. There's also still a lot of homes and business up and down the High Street who don't secure their wireless networks so if you have a suitable electronic device then free internet is very easy to come by in Lewes.

Maybe without directly naming the shops you could tell me where on Cliffe High Street I might find an unsecured wireless network?
