This must mean the end of the amorphous Lib. Dems. They're the party
remember, who colluded with the elitist, disdainful Cameron/Osborne regime. They were the party who sold out on working class students. They were the party who signed off on the spurious 'austerity' that's narrowed all our lives and caused appalling hardship. They were the party that seemingly helped the now totally discredited Universal Credit to kick the working poor into the gutter. Now, Nick Clegg, thIs multi lingual scion of Europe, with his marketable EU trading skills will be augmenting the coffers of Google, a company seemingly intent on harvesting our personal details in order to further their already obscene profits. Nick Clegg was a deputy prime minister of the UK! What hope have we got? And what ultimately does this say about 'remainers'?

Perhaps, as Vice-President, he will use his influence to ensure that his company pays taxes in the UK on the profits they earn in the UK?
Or perhaps he will just feather his own nest?
Any guesses?

I think we all know the answer. What's more pertinent is that he obviously doesn't care one jot about Google's taxes or more interestingly, what we think about him and his reputation - or his party. Clegg now has been elevated into the domain of the 'untouchables'. It's brazen. He was, one could think, a stooge from the start. And what does that say about the party he led? Cuckolded or compliant?

Thanks de Montfort. Yes of course, Facebook. it was a bit late for an early bird to post. I had just heard about Nick Clegg. In the cold late of day the implications about our debased 'democracy' still shock. He made the Cameron, Osborne debacle happen. Now he's reaping the rewards. Facebook paid £7.4 m in tax last year. It racked up record 1.3billion in British sales.

Does anyone really think that austerity was a bad plan? Doesn't everyone mind the pennies when they are short of funds?
