Hi all, I'm thinking of buying a dog for my daughter's birthday but am aware she will probably only be interested in it for about a year.
Any advice on whether it's easy to sell on or donate dogs? Also does anyone have any advice on getting old dogs from Raystead that don't last that many years?
Thanks,
Jeffrey

Why buy your daughter something she obviously has no real interest in? Go buy her something pink and fluffy instead.

Jeffrey I know this agency that could be of help to you.
Forget Raystead just bring your fluffy ball of fun along after you've had your fill of it and rest assured it will be taken care of.. for a small handling fee.

I'm flabbergasted you asked this in a public forum. You truly must be stupid. Stop pandering to you child. Get a my little pony. And don't ask stupid questions again

Many thanks all. I think it is sensible she doesn't get a dog quite yet at her age so we have opted for some guinea pigs as I have heard they only last 1-2 years.
I don't understand some of the responses and I don't know why it is not prudent to seek advice before making an important decision k. jude.

You sound as if you have no idea about animals. Guinea pigs live up to 8years. Animals need love and affection . If you have no idea how to look after animals how is your kid going to cope, probably squeeze it to death. I feel sorry for any animal that you get for your spoilt brat.
