Has anyone tried the 'Bill's beer' brewed by Harveys? Think it's pretty good myself. I see it gets a mention in the Independent's review of Bill's Covent Garden store.
I've also heard a rumour that Harveys may be bringing out more themed beers in partnership with other Lewes businesses...anyone know if there's any truth in it?

I have heard a number of rumours about up coming Harvey's brews including a joint effort with darkstar. I have also heard about the possibility of other collaborative beers with lewes businesses. Where is this independent article?

These 'partnerships' irritate me. Cheap supermarkets used to do it - buy a packet of tea and get a packet of biscuits half price. It smells of desperation.

I have heard the same rumours that Harvey's are doing a beer with another business in Lewes. The gent in the shop told me about it a few weeks ago and also mentioned a special for Brighton FC

I think it's all to do with the new micro brewery they have just started using. It only produces about 5 barrels per brew. They are trying to reproduce ales that have long gone out of production. It's just another example of Harvey's investments in the local community and it's commitment to preserving the traditions of the town and local areas.

Is there a Lewes Demolition Company? ...
If there was I guess they could have a Harvey's Wallbanger.

I'm sorry it's been a long week at home with the children.

And pubwatchman - enough of the tired old DFL horsesh*t, get over it.

I was never under it.
If something is DFL, its DFL. Or if you prefer, Wickle is a poncey nonsense shop that sell pointless tat aimed at 'mums that lunch' and those with a considerably larger than average disposable income.

Ha - three laugh-out-loud posts in one thread; WELL above average!

Lewes, was, of course, full of horny-handed sons of toil before DFLs arrived. It was full of no-nonsense burger bars and cheap supermarkets. There was utterly no middle class at all. No. Not at all.

I heard that Bills beer is pretty much "Olympia" beer, just re-labeled and given a 300% mark up?
