What a brilliant weekend Mumford & sons fantastic live the rest of the bands were pony. Saw better bands at Rock in the bog last week. I really hope they do this again next year it has put the town on the map.

The bands were generally sterilised, sanitised guff, the only one standing out with any passion were Deap Vally but the overall concept and organisation was fantastically executed. I hope it paves the way for future events, just with other bands with more balls next time

Best bands of the weekend were Edward Sharpe & Magentic Zeros, Deap Vally, Bear's Den and The Very Best Soundsystem. Can't say that I'm a big fan of the Vaccines though.

If I were a member of a famous band I would dismiss Lewes as a venue due to the negative comments on this forum.

The atmosphere when Mumfords were on was incredible. Personally I loved Mumfords, theVaccines and Johnny Flynn but wasn't overly struck on Deap Vally.

Didn't go to the festival but saw the Starfish bands at Harvey's on Saturday morning and they were great- I'm sure they were just as good as some of the professional bands, and it was free!

Personal favourite was the Mystery Jets, but a great line up. A wider range of styles and genres than I expected. Weekend couldn't have gone any better and expect the bands who played here, and their management, will be spreading the word about how good it was. Maybe not on this scale, but looking forward to more big name concerts in the future. Maybe someone can get the Lewes Guitar Festival going again for a start?

My guests just loved it. They'd barely heard of Lewes before (and all got the pronunciation wrong!) and to say that they were pleasantly surprised would be a considerable understatement.

Upsides: beautiful town and welcoming pubs and shops.
Downsides: very few, really. The long queue to get armbands on Friday evening would be one. The other main one would be herding all the festival goers out via the "river entrance" right down to the Stanley Turner ground before directing them back into town. Given that this house is only ten minutes from the Priory that was a long way in the dark!

Overall, they were very happy punters who'll be back for a visit soon.
