I have a toyota still under warranty. Would it still be wise to have it mot'ed by the dealership or would Just mot's in Lewes suffice? Slightly peed off at the servicing cost of Toyota in Peacehaven...but I have to have it serviced otherwise warranty is dud.

You need to read the terms and conditions of your warranty to make sure it doesn't specify that it must be a Toyota dealership.

You can have it mot tested anywhere. I used to always use Just Mot's but for the last couple of years the Halfords Autocentres have been almost half the price. I've got five old cars so it makes a difference! I use the one in Newhaven and have a coffee in McDonald's while they do it. Very good service and very good price (both Halfords and McDs).

Indeed you can, it would be illegal to penalise you for not getting it done by Toyota.
But it's worth saying MOT is a set price (as long as it doesn't need any work), so it doesn't matter where you take it.
I use a really good garage in Hollingbury.

"Small Print" of my warranty says "only Toyota approved parts shall be used" which is slightly different from restricting you to the dealer for a service.

Just MoTs do them for about £45. I've taken all sorts of cars there, and they're competent, friendly and helpful. No connection.

Colas in Ringmer have passed my much-older Toyota most years. certainly whenever it deserved to pass. Also helpful in pointing out work that will soon be needed - hopefully not relevant for a vehicle such as yours. Done by appointment while you wait. Free coffee.

Getting an MOT done is simply a required test, and should not affect any warranty. Regarding servicing, most manufacturers now allow servicing to be carried out at other independent garages without affecting the warranty. Mrs. Sussex uses Flomar; with the acceptance of the main dealer she purchased her car from.
