Minimum speed limit

I think there should be a minimum speed limit for ordinary vehicles on the dual carriage way. Bloody dangerous pottering along at 40 like driving miss daisy and everyone trying to get past. Can mean the tw@t doing 90 is going 50mph faster on an over take. Alarming isn't it.
Must say the forum seems to be improving (a bit) of late. Not hard mind.

I must admit I drive about 40-50 mph on the motorway or dual carriageways, always in the slow lane mind you. Years back in my teenage years I knocked over and killed an elderly couple, spent time in prison, still feel the guilt now, that's my reason why I don't speed anymore. Wouldn't wish what I went through on my worse enemy.

It's bad driving that kills. Whether you hit someone at 50 or 70, they're still dead or very badly injured. We should be focusing on the practices that cause fatalities: tailgating, reckless overtaking, looking at phones while driving, ignoring stopping distances and staying in the overtaking lane. I agree that people driving well under the limit is a danger too, making dangerous overtaking more likely. There's no need for anyone to do less than 40 on the Broyle, unless the weather conditions are bad.

I'm focusing on people driving to slowly on dual carriage ways actually E of L. The Broyle is single carriage way, 60 limit. Thanks anyway.

but i was taught to look ahead and read the traffic , you can see cars braking and cars etc indicating (~rare these days ) and as other poster more should be done to deal with people on phones and satnavs .
Satnavs should automatically lock once in motion and only allow verbal commands ie" Google divert" or" Google find petrol station"

Slow drivers cause accidents (where you then get people overtaking dangerously). I believe its a fail on a driving test to drive at 40 on a 60 road
