Over the past year i keep spotting a chap who wears a leathery hat (a bit like a crocodile dundee hat) a longish overcoat and boots with i think curly hair who looks a bit like micky most.
He was in the ram at Firle in the summer holding court with 2 lovelies and i spotted him again tonight at the Nick Drake tribute at the Dome with an actor who was in Mistresses recently. He was also chatting with Chris Difford from Squeeze who seemed to know him.
He is obviously 'someone' and quite enigmatic. Can anybody shed any light on who he is? Its not important i'm just v curious.

What is it with the leather cowboy hat/brown trench coat/boots/ski's look. It's everywhere in Lewes. There must be a magic porthole somewhere where german cowboys from 1932 can materialise and secretly infiltrate.

During the recent snow i was standing in the Snowdrop when lo, a couple of people trudged in who had ski'd to the pub!!!!!!!How pretentious is that, what's wrong with walking and skidding like everyone else. Also an observation, is it just me (probably) but has the Snowie gone DFL since it's re-opening? Good pub but to many Tarquins per head!

The 'mysterious' person is none other than our MP, Mr Norman Baker. It is very difficult for MPs to go out for a good time without being pestered by hordes of adoring constituents - hence the disguise. Sorry Norm.

I might be entirely wrong but it sounds suspiciously like Peter Owen-Jones, who despite not looking like your typical man of the cloth is actually the vicar of firle. He's also a TV presenter having done a couple of series for the bbc.
