A fair few reports say that they make you sweat a lot more at night. Also, a few people have said that sex in them is much harder work because of the lack of springs!!!
So I wondered if anyone had any personal experience of memory foam mattresses and what your thoughts were? Would you reccommend them?
Also, I was a little unclear on whether the sweating and lack of bounce issues applied to the hybrid mattresses like I've been looking at - or whether they only apply to the pure memory foam ones?

Latex, on the other hand, is a natural product, it's anti bacterial, doesn't make you hot, springs back to original form immediately you move, and altogether is much more comfortable to sleep on. You can get sprung latex mattresses, and even latex topped sprung foam (wouldn't recommend, you get a problem with a permanent deep groove in the foam). If I had the money, my ideal mattress would made if at least two layers of latex, a deep firm base topped with a medium layer.

As Stevied mentioned, they have a trial period and they sell off those which have had less than 30 days use as "renewed" or similar. Both of mine came at 1/3 of the original price, and frankly both are absolutely fine. You'll find them on Ebay and the various coupon/groupon/deal sites.
Do consider what you'll do with your old mattress: that's a bit of a logistical nightmare (unless you pay the delivery company to take your own one away)
