As a mere male, I do think it is a good idea to provide this type of service on Saturdays. In these days of equality many women work all week (Mon-Fri); and Saturday may be the only day free. Dad can look after the kids!
I do not know what time the clinic ends, but hopefully those manning the road closures will take into account those driving to it.
