Is anyone else having water pressure problems in the Malling or Pells areas? SW dropped pressures generally some months ago as a cheap and instant way of reducing leaks (as mandated by OFWAT), but we're suffering periodic further drops that make the flow rate inaequate for a shower.

They are only obliged to supply at a minimum of 0.7bar at your service pipe. If they have reduced the pressure then there is nothing you can do about it other than adapting your internal plumbing arrangements.

I dont think the stop cock wide open or partly closed makes any difference to the pressure. Flow yes, pressure not so.

Thanks - I'm not disputing what RP says, I just want to know if anyone else is suffering, or if it's just our house.

A partly closed stop cock will reduce the pressure whilst water is flowing (that is why the flow is reduced), but has no effect on the STATIC pressure (i.e. when water NOT flowing).
Maybe that's why someone voted down Taff. Bit harsh, IMO.
