Can't beat a nice BBQ on a day like this. All afternoon to enjoy eating with some friends in the garden. Go on, get it sorted now....

But we did cook Victor - chicken kebabs, and we use a gas BBQ, so no nasty smells ! AND, it tasted delicous, even if I do say so myself. Go on, spoil yourself, have a barbie tonight !

I'm a bit of Victor M when it comes to barbies. I hate the smell of charring abattoir floor sweepings, and the racket of drunk people hollering drivel at each other in neighbouring gardens.
I enjoy getting my own back by having one of m y own from time to time though, and have a terrific recipe for marinaded grilled tiger prawns, qwhich is just delicious. Of course, I wait until my most loathed neighbours are down wind .....

Ooooo, recipe please ACT for the tiger prawns. BTW, we were very quiet and civilised, and certainly not drunk, despite trying !

I invite you all to a New Zealand BBQ. No floor sweepings here. Maybe some chillied king prawns with scallops fresh from the sea and some nice green lipped mussels sliced down the middle, coated in seasoned flour and cooked in garlic butter. A good Sauvignon Blanc from the local winery. Fresh lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes from the garden.....Boysenberries, raspberries and strawberries. Yum! Roll on summer. Sadly not much decent lamb as we export the good stuff over to you lot!

I love a BBQ and I don't care about wingey neighbours. Enjoy and let the moaners moan! I'm afraid my Barbie cooking is not anything like as exciting as the above mentioned, bangers and burgers tends to be our limit! Though you have given me food for thought!!
