Did anyone else hear a huge bang in the night?? Am guessing it was 4am-ish but no idea. It echoed quite a lot so I wondered whether it was in the tunnel (although didn't sound like a rookie or car backfiring). Any ideas?

I was wide awake and working from home (New Malling) at that time but didn't hear anything.

Mind you, I am a bit old and doddery.

I was camping over the downs at Black Cap and didn't hear anything. I was probably awake too, because it was so cold........

Along with neighbours up here at Malling I heard the loud bang, quite a deep sound and am sure it was not fireworks or the like. We are intrigued to know what it was.

Yes, heard about 8 bangs in a row about 4am, almost equally 20s apart. Very loud. Sounded like a shotgun. Thought firework bangers, being first of month, but didn't sound like that. Live Wallands, window towards Abergavenny/prison.
