Was shopping in Aldi and Tesco today and my daughter in law realised her I phone was missing from her handbag.
She has got in touch with her phone provider and had all calls barred but she has family photos and contacts on her sim that are virtually irreplaceable.
If anyone finds it coud they either give it in to Aldi,Tesco or Lewes Police station.
It has a rather distinctive pink leather cover emblazened with skulls and crossbones.
Many thanks.

Have you tried phoning it or does the barring stop that.

Tried that and the answerphone clicked in.
Hoping if someone finds it they will give it in as it is now worthless.
Some lovely pics of the grandchildren on it too.....

If she has an iPhone and she "sync"ed it regularly, all is not lost as all details/photos would be held on her computer.

If she had iOS 5 installed and signed up for iCloud at installation there is a function called 'find my phone' which should show her the location of the phone. ICloud can also be used to lock the phone and wipe it.

please do not assume that a barred phone is worthless, it is not it is a very saleable commodity, its a big world out there and barred in the uk (and part of europe) is but a minor inconvenience the other point is that smart phones break up for parts rather nicely

Find My Phone came with iOS4 so she should try tracking it through that online. Unfortunately a friend of mine did that from his iPad when he left it in a cab. After phoning the cab firm and telling them where it was and the cab number, it mysteriously got switched off and disappeared
