Please ( pedro, newms, clifford etc etc) stop using this forum a a political platform for your misguided and more importantly BORING self indulgent monologues. You don't come across as intelligent. Just sad.
I want to discuss aqua, tailgating, barber shops, speeding, missing cats, low flying air craft, bad dogs, dead sheep and local businesses.
Promise yourselves you will talk to real people tomorrow and I don't mean homebase staff. Thanks

Yes, I agree Enough is Enough. So why don't we see you here regularly posting stuff on aqua, tailgating, barber shops, speeding, missing cats, low flying air craft, bad dogs, dead sheep and local businesses? The regular bored you mention, including me of course, post stuff that interests us. What's the point of whining that it doesn't interest you if you don't do something about it?

Clifford it's a public forum not a private political platform. You and your chums droning has reached such a high volume recently. Get a blog going. And I think you have had enough sherry tonight

Anonymouse - exactly! I post all the time but I don't feel the need to build a brand to spout my political views.

This IS a political forum. Its a hostile take-over, so you're either with us, or you're OUT! Things are gonna be different on here now, because I say so.
My word, this is such a dysfunctional little forum and town
People need to chill out a bit more!
Or perhaps we need more immigrants and DFL's to flush out the old white trash...

I'm really not sure why you bother - we're not going to budge so I think you should probably go do something productive, rather than get irritated by total strangers on a forum.

I'll look at the forum because there are occasional snippets of useful information.
Unfortunately the children(Pedro, Newms and their pals) do like to hijack most posts with their bleating on about EU , drugs etc etc week after week.Luckily unlike them I do have a life rather than being a keyboard warrior...

@local, I think you are being a bit harsh. Pedro, Newms etc can't help who they are. Maybe they are crying out for sympathy. Rather than chastise them, shouldn't we be offering to help?

@Dixie - That's are really good idea. I don't suppose anyone will act on it, but we can only hope. Paul Newman once announced that he was leaving this forum, but like Nigel Farage, his resignation was short-lived. These endless political posts are completely futile. They're self-indulgent and contribute nothing. If I want an insight into Brexit or Trump, I read articles by proper journalists and academics, not some bloke a few streets away from me who has too much time on his hands. I read this forum because at its best, it gives us a useful insight into our town, how the council works (or doesn't), which school is best, where to eat (Aqua trolls excepted), which businesses are opening or closing etc. Unlike the smug Viva Lewes, it's a warts and all view of Lewes and occasionally it also performs a very useful role, like when the sale of St Anne's was exposed. It's a great pity that it has recently become hijacked by egocentrics who think their views really matter, adolescent trolls and corporate interns posing as locals.

To all those moaning about the things "pedre newms cliff" etc etc say.
Start a thread with the topic you want to discuss on it. It's not rocket science

Unfortunately bobobob people do start posts on a variety of topics but then the Pedro amongst us tend to appear and steer them off topic and p*ss off everybody else often with puerile comments that are better reserved for the toilet wall.
Nowadays the easiest solution is to find out information from getting out and about, local papers etc. and visit the forum on an occasional basis unlike some who seem to be permanently tapped in with nothing better to do.
Think about it...these people need the forum to air their ramblings to make them feel wanted - how long would you be able to sit at a pub table with them before you got the urge to leave or do something worse?
Sit back and watch them spout on.....it's great entertainment .

@ Lewesian, my name is often mentioned and dragged into threads by others whinging and moaning, and I'm only to happy and obliged to respond. So people like you are making an issue out of nothing, and creating problems.

@ paedro (another anonymous bozo) - your obsession for me is a bit weird.
