Watched a bit on the "Kyle Files" (he is good for something) regarding the homeless and it was interesting stuff. I'd like to help by means of a regular donation but as raised on this forum frequently there's a difference between the genuine homeless, professional beggars, and those seeking drug money or another can of special brew. Buying Big issue would help the individual selling them but I'd like to give to help people overall. Is there a local homeless charity people could recommend please? Thanks.

Lots of potholes to be filled this time of year. They can even borrow my shovel.

Unfortunately we don't have a spare room.
Spike thanks for your snide comment. It was a genuine enquiry and I has hoping to use the forum for its original purpose ie find some useful local information but the again it IS the Lewes Forum and the chances of getting a sensible hoful comment would appear to be as common as rocking horse poo.........

I prefer drug addicts begging in the street to drug addicts burgling houses to feed their sad habit.

Shelter are an amazing charity that should be able to give you advice on ways of helping . Also St Mungo's based in Brighton .

Thank you Louise,
I had considered Shelter but was wondering if there were something more local - will have a look at St Mungo's.
I normally can't stand Jeremy Kyle but Kyle Files was an interesting programme and certainly worth a watch.
