Does anyone know if there are any litter picks going on - preferably on the western side of town? I've Googled it but can't find any info.
I want my sons to get away from their computers and think about doing something useful for the town they live in - litter picking seemed like a good start.

EoL, try Ruth O' Keeffe. I have a distant memory that she either organised or was involved in one in the Priory Ward sometime ago.

Earl, there is a meadow minders group that meets on the railway land nature reserve on the first Sunday of the month, why don't you bring the lads along, they need volunteers and they do all kind of things with the LDC ranger-you never know, it might spark an interest.
