Much better than last year's 5-0 walloping. The Lewes boys gave as good as they got from their illustrious opposition. Roll on the real stuff next month.

No wonder there were so many fat old blokes wandering around Lewes wearing cheap replica shirts with blue and white stripes

Who cares? 2 insignificant clubs from insignificant leagues playing rubbish in an insignificant game in front of 2 men and a dog.

I was there - lithe, toned and in an expensive linen shirt. Lewes played well, especially as Brighton sent on a fresh 11 early in the second half. Not that we ever looked like scoring. Promising pre-season, I hear, with a 3-0 drubbing of Peacehaven

I was there, as always, along with with 2200 others and not one dog in sight.
The Dripping Pan on a brilliant sunny day, cold drink in hand and surrounded by friends takes some beating. You can keep the professional stuff thank you.
We are lucky to have such a great little club run by the fans for the fans and not by some millionaire.

@Bored I'll grant you that Brighton are somewhat insignificant but hardly watched by one man and his dogs - they're watched by a large number of lifelong fans who've been going ever since the Amex opened
Lewes FC on the other hand are a very significant town club playing at a standard most football players never attain and in front of an immensely loyal set of local support
Everything that a small town club should be and a fine example to football. One that all the mercenaries who pollute the game would do well to note
