Hello I'm installing some new lighting and I've been told I need an electrician rather than a plumber. Can anyone recommend a good one please?

immersion electrician or plumber? depends, a private house almost any competent plumber (however one guy i used to employ, great plumber but would not wire a plug) For site work, strictly both required.
word of warning a competent plumber will often advise 1st that the cylinder may have corrosion around the boss particularly if the cylinder is old, this may result in an unrepairable leaks on attempts to undo the immersion, DIYers can end up ripping the immersion boss out the cylinder.

Correct answer MB, as I stated. Though mine was a little 'condensed'. If you crack the boss Confused, it's new tank time. Not something you want to attempt either late in the day, or at the weekend.
